My method is elegant in its simplicity. Of course every part of it is consistent with my beliefs and assumptions and this is true for EVERYONE.
My assumptions are quite similar to the assumptions I believe I've found of ancient science but the most relevant thig is that I believe everyone always makes sense in terms of their premises. It was these, their premises, I was originally seeking in the Pyramid Texts. I am adept at deducing people's premises from their word choices and this is all I had hoped to find initially. I had hoped there would be clues to how they thought and how they built pyramids. I did not expect or assume I'd find anything at all and certainly not a new science and new type of language unknown to modern man. I did believe that they "mustta" used the weight of water in some way to build the great pyramids.
To accomplish my task it was necessary to determine the most likely word in every situation and compare it to the word actually used. I was simply trying to get the rhythm and flow of their words but soon began noticing that there was no means of making such predictions. Word choice seemed virtually random except to the degree it was rendered in English. This meant there was something fundamentally different about this language. Fortunately before I gave up trying to deduce the difference I realized I had just started substituting "upward" where I saw the word "Shu". Everywhere "shu" was used it was associated with lifting, ascension, upward, above, etc. etc. So it became a simple matter of taking everything at face value and solving each of the terms in context. In other words if they said a boat flew up then i assumed some boat actually flew up and solved the words consistently. This meant every word had to have the same meaning in every instance. Fortunately this worked very well for Ancient Language because almost every word had a single meaning and where they didn't it was usually apparent which meaning was intended. Some words were pretty tricky; "star", "set", and horus were the worst and each marked a major breakthrough when the difference was identified. There may still be a nuance of the word "set" I'm missing based on the fact that there is not always a clean fit in context.
The most important word was "I3.t-wt.t" which was, fortunately, quite well defined by context;
2109. The sky trembles, the earth quakes before the god, before N.
2110a. N. [is not enveloped] by the earth;
2110b. ’I 3;.t-wt.t, thou art not enveloped by the earth.
2110c. Thy fame is by day; thy fear is by night, as a god, lord of fear.
There's a huge amount of information right here. "I3.t-wt.t" is sometimes not enveloped by the earth implying it sometimes is. It is a popular topic of discussion by day but is feared at night. There is even an implication that when it ceases to be enveloped by the earth there is a significant event (the sky trembles and the earth quakes).
This is nearly sufficient alone to solve the term.
...2110d. Thou commandest the gods like the mighty one, chief of the mighty.
2111. [O] Osiris, the overflow comes, the inundation hastens, Geb groans.
2112a. I have pitied thee with pity; I have smitten him who acted with evil (intent) against thee;
2112b. that thou mayest live, that thou mayest raise thyself up because of thy strength.
2113. O N., [the inundation comes 1, [the overflow hastens], Geb [groans].
2114a. Exult in the divine efflux which is in thee; let thy heart live;
"I3.t-wt.t" commands the natural phenomena! It is associated with the inundation that the PT plainly states is at Giza;
"The time of inundation comes, the wȝg-festival comes, to the uplands, it comes as Osiris."
"and will let loose an inundation over the Ancients;."
This "I3.t-wt.t" besides being the source of the inundation from the eye of horus;
509b. (and) that N. may bring the green to the great eye which is in the midst of the field.
"I3.t-wt.t" makes osiris strong and able to stand when the inundation comes. It even introduces it to another of the words for "CO2"; the "efflux" in which osiris exults.
Of course this is just one usage and there are many more. Each usage provides more detail;
"The perfume of an 'Iḫ.t-wt.t-serpent is on N."
"It is agreeable to thy nose on account of the smell of the 'iḫ.t-wt.t-crown."
There is an odour associated with it;
791a. It is agreeable to thy nose on account of the smell of ’Iḫ.t-wt.t;
791b. for thy feet when they hit thy feast (carry thee to thy feast);
791c. for thy teeth, for thy finger-nails when thy bread is broken.
It is associated with bread.
As you solve the PT more and more meaning emerges and you'll soon see everything has three words and one of the words for ’Iḫ.t-wt.t; is "efflux".
Now a great deal more context is available for this term including the admonition to tiptoe when you detect its presence. There is even a "spell in the Coffin Texts (#1080) Which says a sample of the CO2 was saved when it fell from osiris and deposited at Giza.
There's a great deal more about I3.t-wt.t by its various (3) names in the literature but this should suffice to show the process I used.
