the modern metre is 39.37 inches against a circumference (polar of 40000000 units giving 1574800000 inches this is 131233333.3 feet dividing by 100 and 360 (using Michell's canon of ancient measure ) gives 364.537037 solar days.
The same calculation applied to the ancient metre of 39.375 inches gives 364.583333r days.
So these numbers are produced using a suggested ancient system that produces Earth circumferences from solar days. I don't see any problem using this at the GP if it produced nonsense there would be no point in using it but it does not seem to and works well with Petrie's measurements.
