Now I know you believe Jim proved the Ancient Egyptians used 256/81 as a value for pi. Not to be johnny rain cloud, but what Jim did, was define the 5 + 43/81 Seked written by the Ancient Egyptians as 5 + 1/2 + 1/54 + 1/81 palms and sadly does not prove pi but does prove a Seked having a run of 64 (8^2 palms) to a rise of 81 (9^2 palms) could have been employed, Unfortunately this does not prove the Ancient Egyptians use of pi in the form of 256/81 anymore than the 5 1/2 Seked with its 11/14 run-rise proves they used 22/7 as a value for pi.

280 / (81/64) = 221 19/81, written in unit fractions as (221 + 1/6 + 1/18 + 1/81) x 8 = (1769 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/648) Seked = 5 43/81 = 5 + 1/2 + 1/54 + 1/81 palms equals a run 64 rise 81. Cotangent 64/81 = 51º 41’ 12.87” angle.

BTW: you never demonstrated how the Ancient Egyptians would have written your proposed irrational value for pi the one being the square root of 3 1/8 x 256/81 = 800/81. Now if you wish to believe they used pi, by all means believe whatever you wish.

*Why his work and that of Professor Thom's is completely ignored is the biggest mystery to me. It is all in their books.*It has been and continues to be ignored by academics because it is wrong, period end of story.
