Long time eh! I haven't thought about the octohedron it since the last time I had a conversation with Stephen (aka magisterchessmutt) about the it some five years ago, I had saved it to hard drive but lost it when the hard drive crashed. But if I remember correctly it was decided the cuboctohedron an Archimedean solid could possibly be a better model dealing Earth-Moon-Sun cycles. Modified Cuboctohedron Pictured below.
Composed of 4 hexagons set at 60 degrees, creating a structure with 8 triangular faces, 6 square faces with 12 identical vertices, with 2 triangles and 2 squares meeting at each, and 24 identical edges equal to a radius of a spherical enclosure, each separating a triangle from a square. The identical edges equal to the radius of a spherical enclosure.
I will try and reconstruct what Stephen and I talked about, which shouldn't take more than a day or two.
Apologizing in advance but the Ancient Egyptian measurements don't translate into metric very well so I use British Imperial units. By using the cubit, palm, digit, inch, foot, yard and mile everything seems to flow together much easier.
