Pi area is for flat earthers... ok, it's useful for halving the Globe along the equator. Planet Earth is a sphere... (blah-blah polar circumference aside, what the gods convey is orbital, rotation - pie in the sky :-) Besides the Globe's diameter, to which purpose the interior is inaccessible, its surface cannot be measured with a straight rod -- hence much attention on the GP -- 440cubits... 230.4 metre x4 sides = 1760 (English mile in yards) VS nautical mile in yards: 2025.372

The mortals, Petrie et al, measured what the gods had already constructed - and that, was preceded by a modern approach, two point co-ordinate... survey, of which the metrologists are ignorant (as well as of some rather large, shall we say, otherwise clearly implied circles - geometrically implicating G1, one of its subsidiaries, two boat pits, the Sphinx head, G3 causeway... ref: [sites.google.com]

Concerning the linear... all the 'rod-ists' can argue their particular length is better, however, that which none can evade is a circle - a finite, regardless of size, a complete constant: 360° comprises 21600 min. of arc.(extended outward, the 12 divisions of the Zodiac are integral)
Converting the arc, the two dimensional disc can be rolled on a level surface, wherefrom a length is obtained - the stuff of bumpkin (copyright: CK) pyramid builders. Earth does that respective of a fixed point star, which can be timed: 1440 minutes (comprising one Earth revolution) of which, the nautical measure on Earth's surface represents a sections of arc.
The GP, or rather two of 'em serves as a geometrical abstract of Earth. Now everyone can haul out their rod... G1 is part of a complex, or trans-generational graveyard... The KC coffer is reserved for the demise of classical precession (unless the void is meant to portray man's incomplete usage of mind).

Sun boats, which although cruising at perpendicular along the horizon, depict Earth in orbit of its host. The irregular contrived calendar comprising a linear year, four seasons 12 months, 52.weeks, 365,days which ultimately comprise minutes... MINUTES being a deg. of arc fragment. Likewise, for precession years... ha-ha! which is intended to denote one Earth rotation (deg. of arc) retrograde. Yep, 21st Century American Moon walkers struggling against 5000? year old stone pilers.

Let's not forget... the collection of papyrus scrolls is not complete.
