I like your amusing response to this topic. I was thinking on just such relativistic terms as well. The SOL being very nearly the circumference of the Earth x 7.5 seconds. And seconds defined as a 1/86400th part of the rotation of the Earth per day. In that case, what would be an ideal unit of Time/Distance to express this situation. Keeping in mind that how we define time doesn't have to be expressed this way either. One could expand or contract the definition of Time as a part of the Earth's rotation by any factor one chose, just as readily as one could expand or contract the units of Distance.
