As an example of how the canon can provide evidence to support a unit of measure and how the n/n-1 ratio can be found the HSMF was compared with the base 11/7 Egyptian root 2 as 99/70.

The HSMF in inches is 14.142 quite obviously a version of root 2 x 10 where root 2 is 99/70

We can use 99/7 as a comparative and slipping into decimals we get 14.142/14.14285714

multiply this fraction by 132000000 and get 1319920000 exactly 8000 feet different.

This is in the ratio of 16499/16500 and 16.5 feet is one rod. So the HSMF using the canon is a valid unit of ancient measure representing a shortened version of root 2.

Because no one is aware of the canon Peter's unit has gone unnoticed and this after 40 years plus of measuring megalithic sites all over the UK.

His unit works with Pi as 22/7 x 1329920000/132000000 = 3.142666667

When used at SH it changes the circumference to exactly 761.6 units and this divides by 56 to give 13.6 Thom's unit.

For me being able to prove someone else's work is a very satisfying way of going about these investigations even if no one shows any interest at all.
