Hi David,
Your analysis methodology is always interesting and may be capable of shedding some light on old issues. I was wondering if you were familiar with such an issue as John Michell proposed many yrs. ago. That there was a connecting link between the Megalithic Yard as an area unit, nearly equivalent to an Imperial Ft. value factored in units of base 37. Such as a sq. MY of 2.72 Ft. = 7.4 sq. Imp/Ft., very nearly in any case at 7.3984 sq/ft. All those other discussion points concerning Scottish units of base 37 have been engaging my attention a lot lately.
I forgot to add, the differential ratio between your proposed value of the MY and it's Imp. sq/ft. is 4625/4624.
Best regards,
Stephen
