In respect of the HFC.

Hugh has clarified that it is based on hermites constant multiplied by real Pi and i have slightly rounded it.

Hermites is found in root 0.75 or 3/4 and root 1.333r or 4/3.

Root 4/3 x real pi is the perimeter of the GP in inches as discovered and accurately measured by Petrie.

The evidence suggests that this relationship is also embedded in the megalithic yard.

Root 3/4 x real Pi is the HFMY the Hugh Franklin megalithic yard.2.720699046

Hugh has not gone into the astronomical meaning of these relationships and will not budge from the decimal analysis whereas i lean towards purely fractional analysis as i do not belive ancient maths ie babylonian clay tablets give any other option. Si i use 2.7207. Hugh does not like this much but it actually gives this rounding in microsoft excel without having to work it out.

On the megalithic yard my position is this. The megalithic yard is 2.72 feet for a reason and any other unit other than this is not the megalithic yard. The Heaths use 2.722 feet and this is not the megalithic yard even though they call it so. This just causes confusion.

A 2.722 - B 2.72 = C 0.002
A/C = 1361
B/C = 1360 the megalithic yard.

So the Heath's are using 272 x 1361/1360 and this is completely different because it takes base 17 out of the analysis.

The evidence also suggests that the ancients knew how to manipulate fractions to produce outputs they wanted.

So, Hugh's MY can be restated as

1632/520 x 52/60 using rounded versions of Pi and Hermites constsnt.

1632/520 is the version of Pi discovered when the Aubrey circle measurements are broken down.

52/60 is a manipulation of the square root of 3/4.

This is a very easy proof of Thom's megalithic yard derived from Hugh's workings.

1632/520 x 52/60 = 272/100

This produces a fractional relationship that works at the GP

27207/27200

The basic unit of eclipse prediction is embedded in Hugh's analysis but he was not looking for it.

A 3.627598728 the GP perimeter
B 2.720699046 the HFMY

a/b = 1.3333333333333333333r the basic eclipse prediction unit and this is 4/3.

Hugh's work provides the link between the Stonehenge Aubrey dimensions and the GP and many people are beginning to understand this now.

The system used is the same at both monuments without any doubt based on existing measurements from absolutely reliable sources, Thom and Petrie.

Hugh also links the GP dimensions to the circumference of the Earth in a most spectacular fashion using base 10 analyisis and actual Pi.

Finally Hugh's analysis produces the Venus unit that identifies the retrograde motion of venus in respect of the Earth's orbit round the Sun. This is in my last book.

The unit is the HFC divided by the HFMY = 1.584.

5280 / 3333.33333r = 1.584 EXACTLY.

An example of how they produced astronomical information using the megalithic yard is

346.66666r the lunar year rounded x 1632/520 = 1088.

In my working life I was a systems analyst and this stuff is right up my street. I had no interest in astronomy of archaeology. i was simply totally impressed by the statistical integrity of Thom's first book so i wrote a book about it.

365.25 - 10.88 = 354.37 / 12 = 29.53083333
