Here are some general observations of mine. Let this also be my contribution to the special year, 306th prime or 2017, soon to be special day, Dec (12) 24th.

A cube has the same proportion than Vesica Piscis via the diagonal between opposite corners, that is sqrt3. So the cube has 1, sqrt2, and sqrt3 (or just 1:2:3) propositions from the immediate crossing points available. Task of duplicating the cube was daunting Greeks for hundreds of years. It would be so easy if you just could replicate the cube and attach it beside the original one, as a rectangular prism. Replicate this kind of prism two more times and you are back to the cubic form that is eight times the original. Ion Vulcanescu has written a lot of this formation calling it Equilibrium of the Geometric Point dating back to Sumerians. Time, distance, weight and volume units would all be based on this formation. Duplication and division were a category of miracles on the ancient tales, not only in the Bible but epics of Homer and many others.

But I'd like to keep attention on the first duplication step for now.

I made this observation few years ago. It belongs to the kind of meta isopsephical investigations, where the isopsephy device itself is tapped with isopsephy.

Word: Isopsephy
Greek letters: ι σ ο ψ η φ ι α
Numerical value: 10 + 200 + 70 + 700 + 8 + 500 + 10 + 1 = 1499

Take a rectangular prism (cube duplicated), or sargofagi with dimensions 1*1*2. Let the diagonal between opposite corners of the solid be 1499, the value of Isopsephy, or the Lambstand (ten luxnian) in the book of Revelation.

We know that diagonal of the above prism is sqrt6, so it is easy to get the side of the prism: diagonal times the reciprocal of the sqrt6 or 1499 / sqrt6 ~= 612 (2*306!) so the long side is 1224. Make the original 1500 instead of 1499 and we end up ~=1225 for the long side.

Closest analogy to 1:2 in human body is the dimensional ratio of the thumb and the index finger. I'm thrilled to see this gesture being applied to remotely controlling modern DJI drones:

To end up this rant, 17/12 is fundamental because 17 is a hook to the sqrt6 and 12 is a bait for the sqrt3. They are irrational intermediators between the progression of the rational mediators. Messengers and angels could very well describe them because they are the angle and the ratio (Logos) between two different points of realm. All points in the spatio-temporal realm are connected to and circumscribed by Nous, Abraxas (365) or Demiurge. Sqrt3 and sqrt6 together they will line up with sqrt2 and the fisherman, Oannes is ready to go forth and conquer.

If this doesn't make any sense, maybe it is because we haven't realized it in the deeper symbolic level:
