Ropes aren't made solid by a dead cow!

The sinews of the bull become taut; they become solid before the king lifts from the ssm.t-apron (the pavement).
2081a. Cause ye the ka of N. to ascend to the god;
The ka of the dead king/ the life's work of the dead king/ the dead king's pyramid/ Khufu's Pyramid ascends to the noonday sun.
People are trying to force these words to sound like something that we'd say and in so doing they are destroying the actual author intent. Ancient people didn't think like Egyptologists or us. This is why their words sound so odd to us. Later Egyptians used these words to invent religion and modern beliefs. We have taken the beliefs of later Egyptians and used these beliefs and our own to "understand" the great pyramid builders. The real people, the real builders didn't even have the words of superstition or cognition.
One might say their words are acting like a mirror for our beliefs or that we are seeing ancient thought through a prism composed of the beliefs of the authors of the book of the dead.
