This model expands Michell's canon of Ancient Measure to produce a model that should work to test all units discovered by metrologists.

it came about by working on The Harris and Stockdale Megalithic Foot in the context of the Aubrey Circle at Stonehenge.

The underpinning assumption is that the ancients used Pi as 22/7 with the canon and a version of root 2 as 99/70. This gives a square of 360 units perimeter and escribed circle of 400 units so 360 becomes 400 and 360 x 400 = 14400.

It works at stonehenge Aubrey as follows

142.8 the radius x 99/70 = 201.96 x 4 = 807.84 x 10/9 = 897.60

So three units 4 x 99/70 x 10/9 are substituted for 2 x Pi

2 x 22/7 = 44/7

4 x 99 x 10 / 70 / 9 = 3960/630 = 44/7

So 2xPi has been turned into geometric ratios involving the inscibed square and the circle.

So all that is needed is the radius and the length of the side of the inscribed square is produced using a root 2 approximation that works perfectly with the 10/9 ratio so the circle is always the sacred base 10.

This model has been front end bolted on to Michell's canon to produce a model that works from a radius.

The beauty of this model is that when laying out a circle on the ground the azimuth can be dermined hyper accurately so the super accurate azimuths discovered by myself and Bill Wilkinson have an explanation.

When a circle radius was laid out ie Stonehenge Aubrey, the azimuth to the centre of the lesser cursus at exactly 308 degrees could be surveyed and aligned to an accuracy of 1 in 1000 degrees and all the dimensions of the circle would be known against the length of the radius before the circle was laid.

Within this system Pi as 22/7 can be used in unitary form.

This is the model ( already copyrighted) the bottom section is the top line divided by Pi as 22/7.

Put any unit you like in and see what happens.

The canon standardised system is based on a radius of 700 inches and the distance from the centre of the Aubrey circle to the centre of the lesser cursus is 7000 feet exactly.
