The word ‘soul’ is one that humans have formed to describe an aspect of the totally integrated human person. It is an idea only … unless of course you can demonstrate otherwise.
Hi Susan, the term "soul" is a word. I agree with you that it names or describes an "aspect of the totally integrated person". But I disagree with you that it is just an idea. The word 'soul', I suggest, describes a set of concepts or ideas in the mind/brain but it just as surely describes that "totally integrated person" we meet in the world out there. So words reference things in the world and things 'in the mind.'
For example, a person displaying totally integrated behavior, like a tap dancer dancing, is a person displaying their soul. It's just a fact!
