What, actually, are you talking about?

. . . Last year Whitehead put out a little thing on those shaft glyphs and basically said he could only get very vague blurry images, could not make out any detail, and couldn't get permission to go back in and take a closer look at them.

I'm pretty sure Whitehead would have gladly run another robot, given the chance. If nothing else, he would have loved to have had the chance to study in greater detail those stray glyphs on the west wall of that southern shaft.

So, Shaun Whitehead “put out a little thing on those shaft glyphs” in 2013. What little thing? This page references an interview with him of January 8, 2012:

http://emhotep.net/2012/03/07/locations/lower-egypt/giza-plateau-lower-egypt/the-djedi-project-the-next-generation-in-robotic-archaeology/

Is this what you are talking about? He is not cited on the characters in the shaft, other than implicitly as one of the authors of the official report (in Annales du Service des Antiquités de l'Égypte).

Where did he say that he “would come out with a report on” “those mystery paint marks on the west wall toward the top of the QC southern shaft” “around 2013”? Why would he? He’s a technologist, not an Egyptologist.

As we know, the report which did come out in 2013 was in the Journal of Field Robotics.

There is also this, dating to October 2013:
