I view it more towards taking a position...which ultimately leads towards taking a side. One position is solidly (where I am) of the opinion that people didn't carve these square caves out by way of using primitive means ie: chisels...

Your position, if I gather correctly, is that it is and they did.

You don't find the marks on the walls strange insofar as they are uniform and are of significant length. Did the carvers/chiselers do it this way for esthetic purposes? My position/side says no. You don't comment so I can only assume that you feel they did this with chisels for some reason.

Copper/bronze/hardened steel...remember the elephant carver my friend. Got nowhere...and yet Petra has extensive rooms carved out of stone.

We'll never know who or how but we can postulate, based on the work of Dunn and others...that one view is more likely than the other. The difference of opinions will not likely change - and that's fine. I've shown video's with closeups of the work at Petra and there is obviously something other than chisels were used - I've pointed this out in a previous post but can't be bothered to try and look for this now. I don't believe there was much, if any, comment on that from your 'side'. I do wonder why but this is my interest and not necessarily someone else's. It'll be somewhere in the Newearth vid on Petra.
