Thanks for the response. Why does the counterweight have to be a static 60,000lb, as you stated?
My point was that the film states there is a counterweight system to the counterweight as well that consisted of up to 15 stone weights that ran down the ascending passageway. This would allow an advantage to the reset process.
Why would you need a 60,000lb weight to lift 60,000lb when you have both the counterweight and the 180 workers working together to raise the granite blocks?(which is what I assume you are referring to) Also it looks like the were using the same system to lift up to 7 smaller limestone blocks at the same time so the system would be able to multi-task between different weights for different jobs.
But the fact remains that the 180 dudes and the counterweight worked together to lift heavier loads rather than one or the other at a time. I agree that it is a pretty complex system but there is evidence to back it up.

Also, I would be interested in your take on the density anomalies detected in the interior as well as the rooms and passageways Bob Brier found and documented on his examination.
Sorry for the nit-picking but I am wondering how human strength working together with a counterweight would not be an advantage especially if differential angles and reduced friction are taken into account along with a counterweight system to the counterweight for the reset process?
