I tried Shaduf's up the side of the Pyramid in Sketchup, and it revealed it was not a good option. They took up too much room. I struggled with other options for many weeks, until a simple method was found. The secret (if you will) is using your weight to lift the water. A lever will fit in a 1.8' section, and the height of each step is the lift distance needed, plus 1/2 the depth of the bucket, as it pivots and dumps the water to the next higher step. It's really, really simple. The buckets still hold 3 cubic feet of water each time a lift is performed. You can increase the quantity by using individuals who weigh more. 3 cubic feet = 167 lbs. Combined together, you can pump, transfer enough water up the face of the Pyramids to offset the weight of the stones, and pull them straight up the face. It's not really that difficult. It's a Funicular.

The main theme behind my drawings and efforts have become, how do you get the stones all the way from the quarry, and then on top of the Pyramid, and never have to transfer the stones from one vessel/platform to another. I only answered that a few days ago, and am working on the math and illustrations now. The method(s) have to be plausible, and capable of being fact checked by others. Otherwise, it's just pie in the sky... Just moving One 2.5 ton stone, would require considerable effort. You never want to lift a stone. That is highly inefficient.

Can it be done? Yes. Were the AE smart enough to figure it out? I feel I did, so my guess is they could figure it out as well. Did they use any of the methods I propose? Who knows? I wasn't there...
