Compare the above two images. Note the area below the sieve.
In the Chapuis image the lower 20mm of the cartouche, (below the sieve), is obscured by the out of focus foreground side block. Wide aperture shallow depth of field. Available/ambient light illumination.
Low, oblique camera angle and close focusing distance..
Both paint runs are below the lower extremity of the sieve.
As can be seen in the first photo which was taken at a high downward camera angle. Greater focus distance and small aperture. Flash illumination.
DEPTH OF FIELD
Chapuis Blue. Low angle, therefore lower 20mm of cartouche concealed behind side block.
Schoch Red. High angle, no concealment.
Also the high and low camera angles combined with the roof block angle account for the apparent truncation and elongation
disparity between the two images.
Having said that you probably can't see it ..
