Defying both things mentioned above is just another way of saying they haven't been explained - yet. Though, granted, given the antiquity there are many artifacts which we will never be able to explain.
However, that doesn't mean that the next step is to postulate and entire unknown advanced civilization that created stone pots. Especially when Archaeology in the Nile Valley shows not a whit of anything advanced in any way.
And if this civilization was based elsewhere, why did they leave some pots in Egypt? Trade? With Egypt? Ice Age Egypt?
